Greetings Saints,
I would like to welcome a new addition to our "Word For The Day" Writing Team... Lady T'Mil Curtis!!!
Here is her first note... "Valley Of Baca"... Eat and Be Full!...
"Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion" (Ps 84:5-7).
There is a spiritual law in the Kingdom of God that we as believers are not always taught. Every believer called to GREATNESS whether in the pulpit preaching, music ministry, marketplace or assisting in the Kingdom will pass through the Valley of Baca. Baca means to weep. It comes from the Hebrew word, bakah (baw-kaw'); a primitive root; to weep; generally to bemoan.
When you are in a place of pursuing your destiny and fulfilling your assignment, rest assured you are going to hit a low spot. A place that will make you even question did you really hear God speak? A low place that you will experience by yourself. Where your spirit seems to be almost greiving yet to onlookers, you are growing and moving in strides. NOW this is where we tend to put all the focus of our Baba experience and miss the greater revelation.
Baca is also a place of springs. There is nothing better on a hot dry day when you're thirsty and weary than to drink water from a mountain spring. It refreshes. It renews. It replenishes. It gives you a second wind to continue pursuing your destiny. Those who commit themselves to a pilgrimage with God will experience the Valley of Baca. There is no way to avoid it. But in the midst of Baca they will discover that in this valley they will also drink from a very special spring that refreshes with a different kind of living water. Once you drink from this spring you will be energized in your spiritual man from strength to strength. Each Valley of Baca will result in a new spiritual spring from which you will drink. It is handmade just for you by God. But know it will be used to provide a refreshing drink for others you will encounter as well for our life is not our own.
Ultimately, Baca leads you to the very presence of God. There is something so powerful about being broken and in a place with God that results in our weeping and crying out to Him. It's such pure worship and limitless conception can happen! Do you find yourself in this place. If so, know that you are in the best place. For he gives us joy for our mourning and what has the appearance of defeat, is merely power!
Blessings & Butterflies
